Prom Closet is ready for the girls!!! Yahoo!! I am still washing some of the boys' stuff however it can be given out if they can wash it. We are limited on shoes but have a person who could possibly get a size if needed. I also have a steamer now for the dresses so I can steam any of the girl dresses if they are interested in them. We could still use a full length mirror if anyone has one laying around taking up space and would love to donate it. Girls sizes are from 0-5x and everything in between. Thank you for all the help and donations! Melanie Hartman Call the school for more information 417-754-2221

From Dallas County Technical Center This year we will be recognizing outstanding students that exemplify the qualities that we want a graduate of our school to possess. With the help of our amazing Advisory Committee members from each of our programs, we have set forth these qualities that we call our Portrait of a Graduate. We are proud to announce our January Sending School Portrait of a Graduate student is Akili Sloan from Humansville R-IV School District ! Akili is a junior enrolled in the Graphic Design program and was nominated for her excellent service skills. Her nomination reads: "This young lady will do great things. She is talented and helps other students catch up when falling behind even at the detriment to her own projects. She is working on her communication skills as she has always been a very quiet student and was overlooked in her abilities because of this. We have set a goal for her to have a voice and interject as needed with ideas or opinions. I would love to have 10 more just like her. She was encouraged to become a SkillsUSA officer and completed her work at the Empower Conference, where she brought back a lot of new ideas and a positive outlook." Congratulations, Akili! We are SO proud of you!!
