Congratulations Senior Class of 2021!!

Congratulations Senior Class of 2021!! This is your final year at Humansville High School, and you have worked hard to reach this point.

Below you will find a very general timeline of events that will be happening your senior year. Please note: This is just a general timeline and will be updated as the school year progresses.

Also, to make life a little more organized, we will be using Canvas to vote and communicate with the class. If you have had Mrs. Perkins as a teacher, you will be familiar with Canvas already. As a parent, if you would like to be added to the class Canvas page, please contact Mrs. Perkins for details. All meeting notes as well as any voting results and needed paperwork will be made available through Canvas.

To help with communication, we also encourage you to sign up for ClassTag. ClassTag is a communication tool that helps teachers connect instantly with students and parents. Everyone’s contact information stays private. Teachers, students, and parents can start using ClassTag immediately—on any device and free of charge. Use ClassTag on-the-go by downloading the app on iOS or Android. Information is available in the Canvas classroom. If you are not a student, please be sure to state who your student is. For safety reasons, only current students and their parents/guardians will be accepted.

The school website also has a page dedicated to the Senior Class and it will be updated often. We will do our best to keep you informed as the year progresses. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the ClassTag app, email, phone, or the Canvas class page.

Again, congratulations on reaching this milestone!!

▢Get pictures gathered up for the slideshow. You can upload them
using the Google Form labeled Class of 2021 Senior Slideshow Pictures in Canvas. We will need good quality photos. Selfies are usually not a good choice. This is available to you now.

▢ Decide if you want a yearbook. Email Mrs. Perkins if you do. Order forms will be available after school starts. Yearbooks will be $35 before Christmas break and $40 after. Yearbooks must be paid for when they are ordered. The 2020 - 2021 Yearbook will be available to pick up in August of 2021 (usually during Open House).

▢ If you would like a senior salute, fill out the attached form and return it to the school attention Mrs. Perkins. Senior Salutes are $10 per salute. If you purchase a yearbook as well as a senior salute, your yearbook will be $20. This means that a senior salute and a yearbook will cost $30 total. This offer is only good for the senior class. Online ordering will be available in August of 2021. More Information will be sent home at the beginning of the school year.

▢ Make a list of school appropriate songs you would like considered for the slideshow and put it in the Canvas discussion area named Slideshow. You will vote on these during a class meeting during the school year.

▢ Make a list of flowers you would like considered for graduation and put it in the Canvas discussion area named Flowers. You will vote on these during a class meeting meeting during the school year.

▢ Make a list of people you would like to speak at Baccalaureate and put it in the Canvas discussion area named Baccalaureate. You will vote on these during a class meeting meeting during the school year.

▢ Fill out your Graduating Class Information form. You will use the online form that will be available in a link in Canvas.

▢ Sign up for GroupMe (information in Canvas).

Canvas, GroupMe, and the Google Team Drive are all available to students now.

This is a student-driven event, which means the Senior Class student body is responsible for setting up the event and securing a speaker.

Typically this event goes back and forth between the Methodist Church and Baptist Church (The Class of 2021 Baccalaureate will be held at the Baptist Church).

The people who are responsible for setting up the Baccalaureate will have a checklist to follow. There will be a committee formed at the beginning of the school year to work on Baccalaureate.
