Humansville district includes the cities of Humansville, Flemington, and Dunnegan with the campus located in Humansville.  Our district serves 2248 people, of whom 425 are students in grades K-12 and 37 preschool students.

The Community 

Humansville (population 986) is the oldest community in Polk County, established by James G. Human and incorporated in May 1872.  Geographically the district covers 110 square miles and lies between Pomme de Terre Lake on the east and Stockton Lake on the west.  Each is only about a 15 minute drive.  The largest employers in the district include Northwood Hills Nursing Home, Big Spring Health Care Center, Mike’s Grocery and the school.
